The objective of the focus group will be to obtain direct insights from loyal Borderzine readers; tapping into their own experiences to better serve their needs.

Specific goals for the focus group are:
1. Identify design and usability strengths and weaknesses.
2. Identify any gaps between what the website provides and what readers want.
3. Identify lifestyles and gather psychographic information about readers.
4. Identify news consumption preferences and communication styles.

The focus group will take approximately one hour to complete and it will be facilitated by Eli Garcia, Public Relations Senior Lecturer at UTEP’s Communication Department. The session will be recorded, and a confidentiality agreement and permission to record will need to be signed prior to starting the focus group. Participants’ identities will not be revealed in any form through the analysis and reporting process. Information gathered from this focus group will be considered to improve the overall experience of Borderzine’s website and will not be published.

Please contact Angel Cancino at angel@borderzine.flywheelsites.com to be considered for participation, request any additional information on dates and location and to let us know if you need any special accommodations. A map of the location will be provided along with information about parking to those who volunteer to participate. The first 12 volunteers will be considered for participation.
